SAN MARINO
A. THE COUNTRY
The Most Serene Republic of San Marino, in Europe, is a landlocked
enclave, completely surrounded by Italy and with Italian culture.
It is the oldest recorded sovereign state and constitutional republic in
the world. There is a two-tiered parliamentary structure – a larger
Council and a smaller Congress. Main foreign exchange earners are
tourism (3.3 million visitors annually) and the banking industry. The
nation’s small population ensures that is one of the wealthiest
countries in the world.

currently evangelize in San Marino.
~88.79% claim to be Christian, ~10.41% Non-religious, ~0.7% Baha’i,
~0.1% Other.
In the Christian category:
~88% are Catholic, ~0.05% Protestant.
Evangelicals represent <0.1% of the population.
