Isaiah 29:6: “Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.”

This seems to refer to God’s deliverance of Jerusalem by His judging of Assyria. In the same way as God powerfully delivered His people in times past, we who are His children, can trust Him to do so today in our own lives.
